NEW STUDENT Enrollment
Welcome to Darien District 61! We are excited to have your family join our community. Please review all of the following the steps below to begin the enrollment process.
Step 1: Select Your School Year & Request an Account
Before you begin, ensure you are selecting the correct year for your student. You will need to request an account to complete the NEW STUDENT online enrollment process. Please select the appropriate link below to request an account.

Current School Year (2025–2026): For NEW students starting immediately.

Upcoming School Year (2026–2027): For NEW students starting in August 2026.
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Once you have account access, complete the online forms. You will receive an email notification as soon as your application has been successfully submitted for review.
Step 3: Verify Residency (Required Documents)
If your application is accepted, you must provide paper copies of the following documents to the District Office to prove residency. You will need one document from Category 1 and two documents from Category 2.

| • Most recent Real Estate Tax Bill | • Current IL Driver’s License or State ID |
| • Signed & Dated Lease (must show end date) | • Utility Bill (Gas, Electric, Water, Phone, or Cable) |
| • Closing Statement for residence purchase | • Voter Registration Card |
| • Current Mortgage or Loan Statement | • Vehicle Registration or Insurance Policy |
| • Military Housing Letter | • Homeowner/Renter Insurance Policy |
| • Public Assistance Document |
Step 4: Finalize Enrollment
After your residency is verified and your application is fully processed, a school representative will contact you to collect any additional student-specific information needed to finalize the registration.
