BIOME TRAVELS

INTRODUCTION

You are going to become an Ecotourist. An Ecotourist is a traveler who visits natural areas while taking care not to damage the habitats they visit. You will visit one of the world's major biomes on your journey.

You will be assigned a biome of the earth to research. You will design a travel brochure that will describe the important features of this biome. You will present your travel brochure to our class. You will be given guidelines to follow for your brochure.

1. Your teacher will assign a biome to you to research.
2. Use the Brochure Guidelines handout to record information that you find on the given web sites.
3. Click on one of the web sites below to get started.
4. Use your Brochure Guidelines handout to design your biome brochure using Microsoft Word.
5. Make sure that you include all ten features from the Guidelines in your brochure.
6. After brochures are completed, you will meet with other students with your biome to plan a presentation to your class. Divide the Guideline features within your group so that they are all covered in your presentation.
