Darien District #61 - Kindergarten Registration
 
 
    Kindergarten registration for Darien School District #61 will be on Thursday, March 13, 2008.  You will be able to register your child for Kindergarten that evening from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Mark DeLay School, 6801 Wilmette Avenue, Darien, IL.  
 
    To be eligible for the 2008 Kindergarten program, children must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2008.  On registration day, please bring the following items:
 
  1. 1.A certified copy of your child’s birth certificate.  A certified birth certificate is the original copy from the county with the embossed seal on it.  We will copy it and give it back to you.  Please make sure that you do not bring the “hospital certificate”.
 
  1. 2.One of the following to prove residency:  your current real estate tax bill; mortgage papers (if you have recently moved); agreement of sale or an affidavit from a local resident attesting the child is living with the owner at no cost.  If you live in an apartment, please bring your current signed lease listing your child on the lease.
 
    The first day of pupil attendance for the 2008-2009 school year is Tuesday, September 2, 2008.  Children will be in attendance for three hours that day.  If you have any questions please contact Mark DeLay School (630) 852-0200.
